Why take this online clinic?
You may need to take it to satisfy a court order.
The DMV requires you to attend a clinic. You must complete the entire eight-hour course. If you fail to complete the clinic by the DMV deadline, your driving privilege will be suspended until you meet this requirement.
Your license has been revoked and you are required to complete the course as part of your reinstatement process.
You may also volunteer to take this course, if you have a Virginia driver's license, to receive up to 5 safe driving points on your driving record.
Students who satisfactorily complete this 8-hour course can now also get insurance premium reductions. Individuals should contact their insurance companies to advise as to whether or not they offer this discount.
How do I know I am eligible to take this course?
The Virginia DMV has reviewed and approved this online clinic. If the DMV requires you to take a Driver Improvement Clinic or you are voluntarily seeking positive points, you are eligible. Your court may or may not accept the certificate of completion. It is your responsibility to determine if your court accepts online driver improvement clinics.
How long do I have to complete this course?
You can complete the course at your own pace, logging on and off as many times as necessary to finish the course. However, keep in mind, the DMV or court has probably given you a deadline or due date by which you need to complete the course.
This course is good for six months from the day of purchase.
When do I receive my certificate?
You will receive your certificate by email within 24 hours of completing the course and passing the final test.
How much does the course cost and how do I pay for it?
The cost of the course is $69. You will pay this fee using our secure payment processor. We accept many different types of payments.
Do I need a special program or app to take this course?
There are NO special system requirements or downloads necessary to take this online course. However, please make a note of the following:
You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your computer to view/print your completion certificate. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is FREE and can be downloaded by going to https://get.adobe.com/reader/
You will need to have JavaScript enabled on your Internet browser to view some of the features in the course. If you don't know what this means, don't worry!! Most modern browsers (like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.) are JavaScript enabled already by default. So unless you have manually disabled JavaScript yourself, you will be fine.
How do I register for this course?
To begin, return to our home page and click on the link to purchase your course. You will be sent a link to the class.
Select your course (English/Spanish).
Fill out the registration form.
Review the information and click on the "register" button.
The list of sessions will appear. Click on the "start course" button to begin learning!
Do I need to use the same computer to complete the course?
No. You can log in and take the course using any computer with any type of Internet connection.
How do I reenter the course after only finishing some of it?
You will use the link given to you to return to that home page. At the top of the page, click “Log In (Returning?)”. You will then enter your First Name, Last Name, and Birthday and click the "Login" button to resume the course. Don't worry, our student progress monitoring feature will allow you to pick up exactly where you left off.
What is your refund policy?
All classes may be refunded within 30 days from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions:
–You did not complete the course. You are not eligible for a refund if you have completed the course and received a certificate. (If you take the test after you receive a refund, your certificate will not be valid, and you will be charged a $25 fee.)
–All credit card refunds are subject to the bank from which the funds were withdrawn and may take up to 5 working days to process. While we put it right into their system, they must approve the transaction before it returns to your account.
—If you realize after the 30-day grace period that you have purchased the wrong class or no longer need it, the credit card fees will be deducted from your refund.
No refunds will be given after six months from the day of purchase.
